クロス開発用のホストとして、Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) Daily Build版を使用して一から準備した。クロスツールチェインはlinaro提供のを使用した。以下はubuntuをインストールした直後の手順。

これで下準備ができたので、後は一気にu-bootとkernelをビルドする。今回はkernelのバージョンは3.3.2を使用し、rootfsをext4にする。

u-bootの環境変数の初期値を、rootfstype=ext4に変更しておく。

まだ安定してないね。sheevaplugなら、これはでないのだが...

当分、fedora17でのサーバ構築検証は、sheevaplugで継続しよう。

Feodra17は未だリリースされておらず、正規のパッケージリポジトリは未だないので、kojiサーバを参照する様に設定する。

/etc/yum.repos.dにある、fedora.repoとfedora-updates.repoの[fedora]と[update]セクションの以下の行を修正すれば良い。
baseurl=http://arm.koji.fedoraproject.org/repos/f17-build/latest/armhfp/
これでyumコマンドが使える様になる。
yum update
yum install gcc g++
yum install samba
良さげですな。
